Sicily Bracelet

On my trip to Sicily last April, I couldn't help but fall in love with the beautiful beach town of San Vito Lo Capo. As I walked along the breathtaking shores, a gentle breeze came along and caused a silent, subtle, yet noticeable shift in the sand, analogous to the movement of sand in an hourglass. Any minute another breeze could come and shift the sand again creating a new moment and ending the one I was now enjoying. Suddenly desperate to capture that moment before it passed, I sketched the design for the Sicily Bracelet, which features carefully placed pear-shaped diamonds to resemble the shape of an hourglass, punctuated by oval stones representing the individual grains of sand.
