Description
To me, Seville is synonymous with dance, namely, the art of flamenco whose rich history can be traced back to this city. Seville played a major role as the setting for the evolution of this dance form and the rhythm of this movement can be felt throughout the city. Like all dance, flamenco comes to life through the combination of dance steps, from simple to complicated, mixed and matched, to create a foot-tapping whole. It was in thinking about these steps that inspired me to use an emerald cut diamond which features the step cut as the method of faceting. The emerald's steps, like the steps of flamenco, come together to create a beautiful dance or unparalleled brilliance.
