The whole city of Jerusalem is inherently infused with a spirit of ancient culture, tradition, and spirituality, but to me, this spirit is most palpably felt whenever I visit the Western Wall. In addition to the Wall's deep religious significance, specifically as the only surviving remnant of the holy and ancient site of the Temples of Jerusalem, it is also a structure of unique physical beauty. Built out of varying-sized bricks of Jerusalem limestone, the stylistically stacked stones form patterns of imperfect horizontal rows, which seem to rise directly up to the heavens to create this massive and marvelous structure. Inspired by this seemingly random, yet perfectly placed stone pattern, the Jerusalem bracelet features strategically crafted rows of emerald and oval diamonds reminiscent of this ancient architectural wonder.
