Lisa & Jamiee
The first time Lisa and Jamie met, they felt a connection, but somehow knew they weren’t ready for each other and went their separate ways. But for these two soulmates, the second time was the charm, and when they met again, it was love at second sight. “I knew from the first moment I saw her that Jamiee was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, but timing is so important, and I needed to take the time to be emotionally and mentally prepared to start this new chapter in my life with the woman of my dreams.”
Lisa and Jamiee blossomed in love and eventually settled down together and started a family of their own. But even with the stress of real life and kids, they always made sure to make their relationship a priority with scheduled date nights twice a week where they either go out to dinner or just stay in and sit together watching a movie enjoying good wine and even better company.
But even early in their courtship, they knew they could never take their relationship for granted and always made the time to honor and appreciate the men and women who came before them and paved the way for their love to be a reality by celebrating Pride. “Pride month is really, really special to us because it’s that time of the year when once June 1st hits, we just start feeling such a big sense of community and respect for everything we’ve been through.”
Now, Lisa and Jamiee celebrate as a happy and grateful family encouraging their kids to take pride in Pride by participating in events and parades in and around New York, where they can appreciate the special community they belong to and embrace this special celebration of love, commitment, and a testament to the differences that make all families beautiful.
